Meet Maggie Rushmer – Flagship Partners Director and First Aid Trainer

Although Maggie is a Director of Flagship Partners, she is also one of our in-house First Aid Trainers. It was Maggie’s career in youth work that introduced her to First Aid, and since then she always knew she wanted to have more involvement in First Aid.

Since Flagship Partners formed in 2018, Maggie has delivered over 100 First Aid Courses all over the country, and has trained almost 1000 delegates!

DID YOU KNOW

Each year, the UK ambulance services respond to approximately 60,000 cases of suspected cardiac arrest. Ambulance services attempt resuscitation in less than half of these cases (approximately 28,000). Even when resuscitation is attempted, less than one in ten victims survive to go home from the hospital. Strengthening the community response to cardiac arrest by training and empowering more bystanders to perform CPR and by increasing the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at least doubles the chances of survival and could save thousands of lives each year.

All of our courses ensure that you meet recommendations underlined by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) and follows the Resuscitation Council guidelines and our trainers are qualified up to emergency care standards. Contact us today to arrange your training session.

Maggie teaches the following courses:

First Aid at Work & Requalification

Our First Aid at work training is delivered over three days with delegates being continually assessed and a certificate awarded upon successful completion. A First Aid certificate is valid for three years. If you train with Flagship Partners on our blended Requalification course, there is only one day in the classroom.

Emergency First Aid at Work

Our CPC accredited Emergency First Aid at Work for Drivers Level 3 (VTQ) course (EFAW) is designed as a Pro Trainings CPD certified qualification and is a 1-day classroom course.

Paediatric First Aid

Our Paediatric First Aid course is blended, meaning that it is mainly online followed by 1 day in classroom – approved by Ofsted EYFS (Early Years Foundation Skills).

When Maggie isn’t training, she spends a lot of her free time with her four children, and she loves taking them to theme parks as she’s a real adrenaline junkie! If Maggie isn’t with Pete and the kids, you’ll find her creating special effects casualty makeup, such as cuts and burns, or doodling on a canvas with her acrylic and watercolour paints.
